A GERMAN 16-year-old has become the first person to solve a mathematical problem posed by Sir Isaac Newton more than 300 years ago.
Shouryya Ray worked out how to calculate exactly the path of a projectile under gravity and subject to air resistance, The (London) Sunday Times reported.
The Indian-born teen said he solved the problem that had stumped mathematicians for centuries while working on a school project.
Mr Ray won a research award for his efforts and has been labeled a genius by the German media, but he put it down to "curiosity and schoolboy naivety".

"When it was explained to us that the problems had no solutions, I thought to myself, 'well, there's no harm in trying,'" he said.

Mr Ray's family moved to Germany when he was 12 after his engineer father got a job at a technical college. He said his father instilled in him a "hunger for mathematics" and taught him calculus at the age of six.

Mr Ray's father, Subhashis, said his son's mathematical prowess quickly outstripped his own considerable knowledge.

"He never discussed his project with me before it was finished and the mathematics he used are far beyond my reach," he said.

Despite not speaking a word of German when he arrived, Mr Ray will this week sit Germany's high school leaving exams, two years ahead of his peers.

Newton posed the problem, relating to the movement of projectiles through the air, in the 17th century. Mathematicians had only been able to offer partial solutions until now.

If that wasn't enough of an achievement, Mr Ray has also solved a second problem, dealing with the collision of a body with a wall, that was posed in the 19th century.

Both problems Mr Ray resolved are from the field of dynamics and his solutions are expected to contribute to greater precision in areas such as ballistics.

A scholar sat next to a General on a flight. The general asked the scholar what is his ocupation.Scholar: I'm into big business.

General: But what business exactly?

Scholar: I deal with ALLAH.

General: Ah. So you're a Muslim religious leader. I have one problem with you Muslims. You oppress your women.

Scholar: How do we oppress our women?

General: You make your women cover up completely and you keep them in your homes.

Scholar: Ah, I have a problem with you people. You oppress Money.

General: WHAT! How can we oppress money?

Scholar: You keep your money hidden away, in wallets banks and safes. You keep it covered up. Why don't you display it in public if it's a beautiful thing?

General: It will get stolen obviously.

Scholar: You keep your money hidden because it is so valuable. We value the true worth of women far, far more. Therefore, these precious jewels are not for display to one and all. They are kept in honour and dignity.

Story of a Young Confuse Man With 3 Question

Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?
Scholar: I am one of Allah (SubHana Wa Ta`ala )’s slaves and inshaAllah (God willing), I will be able to answer your questions.
Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions.
Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of Allah(SubHana Wa Ta`ala ).
Young man: I have 3 questions:
Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.
What is takdir (fate)?
If shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the end will he be thrown into hell that was also created from fire. It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of it this far?

Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man’s face very hard.
Young man (feeling pain): Why do you get angry at me?
Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three questions.
Young man: I really don’t understand.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young man: Of course, I felt the pain.
Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?
Young man: Yes.
Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!
Young man: I cannot.
Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God’s existence without being able to see His shape.
Scholar: Last night, did you dream that you will be slapped by me?
Young man: No.
Scholar: Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?
Young man: No.
Scholar: That is takdir (fate).
Scholar: My hand that I used to slap you, what is it created from?
Young man: It is created from skin.
Scholar: How about your face, what is it created from?
Young man: Skin.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young man: In pain.
Scholar: Even though Shaitan (Devil) and also the hell were created from the
fire, if Allah wants, in-sha-Allah (Allah willing) the hell will become a very painful place for Shaitan (Devil)

Fat Busting Food, but would we eat it?

Scientists have discovered that two common mango varieties contain natural compounds that may help to fight the part that most people throw away.

In two of three mango varieties examined in the study, scientists from The University of Queensland found it was the mango peel/skin that demonstrated the biggest fat-reducing potential.

The detailed analysis of three mango varieties was part of a collaborative research project between the Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI) and UQ School of Pharmacy as part of an Australian Research Council Linkage Projects grant with the Queensland Government.

Professor Mike Gidley, who heads QAAFI's Centre for Nutrition and Food Sciences, said it was not unusual for the outer skin of a fruit to have quite a different chemical composition to the flesh.

We know mangoes have many excellent nutritional properties, but more work needs to done to understand the complex natural compounds found in these and other fruits, he said.

This research reminds us that we should be looking at the whole fruit when considering how to take advantage of natural goodness.

Detailed chemical analysis of the skin and flesh is extremely valuable for mango growers and processors, who are always looking for new ways to value-add their fruit.
In laboratory models, the study found that the peel from 'Irwin' and 'Nam Doc Mai' mangoes contained high concentrations of bioactives that inhibit development of human fat cells.

Professor Greg Monteith from the UQ School of Pharmacy said there were probably many reasons for this characteristic.

A complex interplay of bioactive compounds unique to each peel extract is likely responsible for the difference, rather than just a single component, he said.

The work was conducted by PhD student Mr Meng-Wong Taing and his study's results could help growers develop mango varieties that actively help reduce obesity.

Obesity is associated with many chronic conditions such as diabetes, coronary heart disease and several cancers, including those of the breast and colon.

Are we this foolish?

There lived in a town a very rich man, who was given every comfort and luxury by Allah. He had a servant who was slightly foolish. One day the rich man called him and presented him with a gift saying: “Keep this in a safe place until you find someone more foolish than yourself. When you do, give it to Him.”

The servant replied: “Very good, Sir!”

After some time, the rich man became very ill. Many doctors treated him but there was no sign of recovery. He finally lost hope and called for his servant and said to Him: “I am leaving now. If I have caused you any grief, please forgive me.”

Servant: “Sir, where are you going?”

Rich Man: “Where everyone has to go.”

Servant: “When wil you return?”

Rich Man: “I am going to a place from where there is no return.”

Servant: “I see…Have you made your preparations for your comfort there, sir?”

Rich Man: “No.”

Servant: “Sir, have you made arangements to safeguard yourself from heat and cold?”

Rich Man: “No.”

Servant: “What have you done about your food and drink, sir?”

RichMan: “Nothing.”

Hearing this, the servant laughed and said: “Sir, this is most surprising. In your temporary home, you have made all sorts of arrangements of joy and comfort; buildings and bungalows, gardens and parks, servants and maids, beautiful cars, shops, factories and all sorts of luxuries, but for your permanent home, you have made no preparations whatsoever.

Now tell me sir! Where will I find someone more foolish than you? Hence I am giving this gift to you.”
